πŸ“Έ While taking these pictures, we were on a hiking trail. I thought it would be a good idea to stand on a log and try to get some cute photos… This was not a very sturdy log! I was having the hardest time balancing and constantly falling off. After a few tries, I told my husband this is useless. Its hot, I keep falling off, and I’m hungry! We all know how we get when we are hungry right?
He encouraged me to keep trying. Telling me what poses to try. Not kidding, I said, β€œThis is stupid! It’s not going to work and look terrible!” But as he always does, he insisted I keep trying, so I did. He continued to keep taking pictures, and giving suggestions on the poses.

There are many times in life where we feel we just want to give up and quit. Who’s with me? I know I’ve been there! What separates those who fail, to those who seem to have all the victories, is the ability to get back up. There are many times in history when the battle is simply won by outlasting the enemy. We will have bad days. We feel defeated, but it is up to you on how you are going to react. Are you going to get back up?

I love what 2 Chronicles 20:17 says, β€œβ€¦..Take up your position; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you… DO NOT BE AFRAID, DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED. Go out and face tomorrow, and the Lord WILL be with you!”

After many attempts on the log, I was determined that not one good picture came of it. My husband showed me what he had taken, and what do you know… there were some good pictures! He saw what I did not see. I saw the pain and discomfort, he saw the good that was coming out of my discomfort.
God is the same way. We can sometimes only see the bad. He sees the perfect picture at the end. He sees the good coming out it! He fights our battles for us. Sometimes all we have to do is show up and listen. When we go out and face our battles in his strength, we can face anything life throws at us! πŸ’ͺ🏻
