Pie and Strawberry Shortcake, what if you merged those beautiful itemsโฆ well I did that exact thing and came up with Strawberry Shortcake Pie! This is soooo perfect for your Fourth of July gathering or any event you just are craving something delicious! Oh, and it it SUPER EASY to make! Only a few ingredients and no baking required!
It all started when I wanted to try another recipe that included lady fingers and strawberries (and some other ingredients). I decided to do a quick online grocery order that was supposed to delivered in a couple hours, however most things I needed were not available and I had to get substitutes, so I decided I would just play around and come up with a recipe with what was delivered. My husband said it was meant to be! This was the most amazing thing he has tasted in quite some time and has requested we take it to all ur upcoming events!ย

I started by making instant vanilla pudding. Make sure you make this in a medium to large bowl. It will help out later. The pudding takes about 5 minutes to set and you can put it in the fridge ti keep cool while prepping the rest of the ingredients, however this is so easy, you may not need that 5 minutes!

Next I started cutting up the strawberries. Just cut them up into bite size pieces and set them aside. After cutting up the strawberries, I did the same thing to the angel food cake. I just took it out of the container and and cut it into bite size pieces. Then set all these pieces aside.

Now go grab that pudding. I told you it would barely be 5 minutes! Now take the tub of whip topping and โfoldโ into the pudding. It will make a delicious vanilla pie filling.

Now Grab a nice size pie dish or you can use a deep casserole dish. I like using glass so you can see all the beautiful goodness! Start by putting the cut up angel food in the dish first. Then cover with that gorgeous vanilla filling. Then top with the strawberries. (Leave a few behind for garnish!) Top those strawberries with the strawberry glaze. Here is where I like to have an extra tub of whip topping. I put a little dollop in the middle and put those few extra strawberries on top for garnish. Its such a beautiful and simple dessert! You will be a hit for sure!
