Before Jesus was about to be crucified, He went to pray at the Garden of Gethsemane. If there is ever a time you feel you ๐ท๐‘‚ ๐‘๐‘‚๐‘‡ want to go โ€œthroughโ€ a trialโ€ฆ Here is where Jesus understands our feelings. He literally says in Matt 6:38 ๐‘€๐‘ฆ ๐‘†๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘™ ๐‘–๐‘  ๐‘œ๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๐‘คโ„Ž๐‘’๐‘™๐‘š๐‘’๐‘‘ ๐‘ก๐‘œ ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’ ๐‘๐‘œ๐‘–๐‘›๐‘ก ๐‘œ๐‘“ ๐‘‘๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘กโ„Ž. It goes on further to say, โ€œ๐ป๐‘’ ๐‘“๐‘’๐‘™๐‘™ ๐‘ค๐‘–๐‘กโ„Ž โ„Ž๐‘–๐‘  ๐‘“๐‘Ž๐‘๐‘’ ๐‘ก๐‘œ ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’ ๐‘”๐‘Ÿ๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘›๐‘‘ ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘‘ ๐‘๐‘Ÿ๐‘Ž๐‘ฆ๐‘’๐‘‘๏ผŒ ๐‘€๐‘ฆ ๐น๐‘Ž๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๏ผŒ ๐‘–๐‘“ ๐‘–๐‘ก ๐‘–๐‘  ๐‘๐‘œ๐‘ ๐‘ ๐‘–๐‘๐‘™๐‘’๏ผŒ ๐‘š๐‘Ž๐‘ฆ ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘–๐‘  ๐‘๐‘ข๐‘ ๐‘๐‘’ ๐‘ก๐‘Ž๐‘˜๐‘’๐‘› ๐‘“๐‘Ÿ๐‘œ๐‘š ๐‘š๐‘’๏ผŽโ€œ He DID NOT WANT TO DO IT. He did not do this because he was Godโ€ฆ He did this because it was part of his journey. He wrestled with it. 

This gives you permission to wrestle with your struggles. He understands! He understands it is part of the process. We live in a lost and fallen world. There are so many things God can save us from. Some times they are physical, sometimes they are emotional, sometimes it is self-control, sometimes they are mental, sometimes it’s a spiritual wresting with God. Sometimes is at your Gethsemane, and you are literally praying in pain. Your struggle is that painful.ย 

BUT in Luke 22:44 it says, โ€œ๐ด๐‘›๐‘‘ ๐‘๐‘’๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” i๐‘› ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘”๐‘ข๐‘–๐‘ โ„Ž๏ผŒ ๐ป๐‘’ ๐‘๐‘Ÿ๐‘Ž๐‘ฆ๐‘’๐‘‘ ๐‘š๐‘œ๐‘Ÿ๐‘’ ๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘Ÿ๐‘›๐‘’๐‘ ๐‘ก๐‘™๐‘ฆ๏ผŒ ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘‘ โ„Ž๐‘–๐‘  ๐‘ ๐‘ค๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘ก ๐‘ค๐‘Ž๐‘  ๐‘™๐‘–๐‘˜๐‘’ ๐‘‘๐‘Ÿ๐‘œ๐‘๐‘  ๐‘œ๐‘“ ๐‘๐‘™๐‘œ๐‘œ๐‘‘ ๐‘“๐‘Ž๐‘™๐‘™๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” ๐‘ก๐‘œ ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’ ๐‘”๐‘Ÿ๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘›๐‘‘๏ผŽโ€œ

Then RIGHT after that he โ€œgets upโ€ and sees his disciples sleeping. He says to them, โ€œWhy are you sleeping?โ€ โ€œGet up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.โ€

In all of his suffering, ๐‘ฏ๐‘ฌ ๐‘ฎ๐‘ฌ๐‘ป๐‘บ ๐‘ผ๐‘ท and tells his disciples, โ€œ๐‘ฎ๐’†๐’• ๐‘ผ๐’‘!โ€ I need you! We still have work to do. The enemy is at us and we need to armor up! This was CHRIST speaking! He knew that He had to ๐‘ฎ๐’ ๐‘ป๐’‰๐’“๐’๐’–๐’ˆ๐’‰ the suffering to get to the Joy. He knew that he needed to be surrounded by friends embedded in the armor of God. 

Right now if you are in the middle of your struggle. In the agonizing pain. Overwhelmed to the feeling like point of death. In the crying out! Our Father understands! ๐‘ซ๐‘ถ ๐‘ต๐‘ถ๐‘ป ๐‘ฎ๐‘ฐ๐‘ฝ๐‘ฌ ๐‘ผ๐‘ท! You are almost there. Surround yourself with people praying, with people covered in the armor of Godโ€ฆ a breakthrough is coming, ๐’€๐‘ถ๐‘ผ๐‘น ๐‘ฑ๐‘ถ๐’€ ๐‘ฐ๐‘บ ๐‘ช๐‘ถ๐‘ด๐‘ฐ๐‘ต๐‘ฎ!!
