There is nothing like a good a beef stew on a rainy day. We have been watching a lot of old westerns from the 1980โ€™s and my husband has been wanting me to try a good Hearty beef stew. After a little research and recipe comparison, I came up this delicious little dish that was a crowd pleaser and the pot was emptied! It works great in an insta-pot or crock pot.ย

I also came across a new (old) flour mix that I didnโ€™t know existed. I wish I had known about this sooner. I always have been looking for ways to add a little thickness to stews or soups. There is a product called โ€œWondraโ€ quick mixing flour. This is the best trick I have come across in years! I wish I had known about this little miracle sooner. You can add just a few tablespoons (depending on how much you need) of this easy mixing flour to your recipe AFTER you are finished cooking and just thicken it up and your are finished! I mean how easy is that!! A new little miracle I am keeping on hand in our home!!ย

I hope you try it and let me know what you think!

A great way to lock in flavor!
