Eyebrows have come a long way over the years!! From no grooming to the pencil thin trends. For years, just getting my brows right, was the most tedious part of my make up routine. And if you take your time to do it right, adding good brows can add up to 5โ10, even 15 minutes to a morning routine. If I left the house sans make-up, the brows had to be done!
Getting your brows done can be scary. This is a HUGE commitment you are putting into someone elseโs hands. Your face is the first thing people see! I can reassure you, Jennifer is an amazing lady who TAKES HER TIME! She is amazing and SO knowledgable! She walks you through the process and makes you feel so comfortable. It can be scary! Colors do not look like what you think they should, and you WILL second guess things. Trust me SHE KNOWS! She color matches you and she walks you through the mapping process to get the right shape for your face. ๐
I met this beautiful lady at an event celebrating local business women. There is a reason she was there. I can not stress enough how knowledgable and talented she is in her field. Women were flocking to talk to her all night. I have searched for quite some time for this processes, scrolling pics online and Instagram pages. Not happy with what I saw. Longing find someone and to make my mornings easierโฆ then enter Jennifer. I have not regretted this decision from one bit. ๐๐ป
On day one she warned me that my brows would be โreddish-orangeโ this would not be the color. There had been color added to adjust this because of my skin tone. This was all part of the healing process. Patience is also a part of the healing process. There will be some scabbing to come, and some color changes. You will not see full result until a few weeks. You get sent home with a nice little goodie bag with gentle cleanser just for your brows, gauze,ย healing balm with q-tips, and a few more goodies. This will be enough to get you by until your touch up appointment, and then some. (Yes! There is a touch up appointment after the first healing process).
๐Week One This is probably the most dramatic week. You will be a bit sore to the touch for the first couple days. Nothing horrible. Just a couple Tylenol if you feel the need. I didn’t need anything. (This may vary for some.) Like mentioned above, You will see color that โwill notโ reflect the final result. Do not get scared! This is just the healing process! It will tone and change a bit. You will also see a bit of scabbing and flaking. (You will notice this happening on day 3, and then your brows will look a bit darker) Remember, your skin is getting torn a bit to add color. ALL NORMAL! For me, by day 6 they were lightening up again and the scabbing and flaking was going away. That is why you need to make sure you are cleansing everyday and adding your healing balm. Trust me. THIS MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!!ย
๐Week Two things are calming down a bit and the color will start changing slightly. You will notice the red tones are starting to fade. The flaking is subsiding and you are LOVING the time that you are saving when getting ready in the morning!
๐Week Three, I have noticed that my brows have fully healed. The color Jennifer chose is just perfect. It matches my face, skin tone and hair. It is a neutral color that if I were to get highlights, or a change in hair color, they would go just fine! Again, I am LOVING the time that is being saved. I can literally get up and go and not have to worry about my brows! This is such a time saver in my word. TOTALLY WORTH IT!
After you first initial visit, and after you have healed, you do have a second visit for touch ups. There may be a few places that may have healed sparsely or lighter. On your second visit these will be addressed and then you are good from anywhere from one to even 10 years depending on your lifestyle!ย
