This phrase has been in my head for weeks! I have had several people tell me lately that they have been discouraged. For whatever reason, they have just been battling finding joy. Where is the joy? Everybody is looking for it!
Raw feelings hereβ¦ You cannot find it in manβ¦ in a jobβ¦ in the things you possess. Trust me. I have tried! I have, in the past, focused way too much on trying to impress people. Trying to be a βyesβ man. Trying to be a people pleaser and thinking it would give me joyβ¦ wrong!
Iβve got good news! I know where to find it. God wants us to be joy-filled. Just like a father wants his baby to laugh those deep baby giggles. You know the ones that you just canβt help but want to see them laugh over & over again? God longs for us to experience a deep-down, deeply rooted joy! I recall many times when my children were small, and now our grandkids, my husband just does not like to see them distressed or unhappy. When they would be upset or cry, he would make silly faces, goofy noises, play with them with their favorite toys, and even dance the silliest dances to get them to laugh. He pulled out all the stops. Anything for that deep belly laugh. Once he got it, he didnβt want it to stop. It is just the sweetest sound.

Our children gave up the sadness they felt and gave all the faith they had at that moment that my husband was giving them pure joy. The sadness and trials they were facing no longer mattered. All they wanted to do was laugh⦠together. This is the joy our Father wants us to experience.

Today I want to give you some joy. Please know if you are one of those going through trials, and feeling distressed, our Father wants nothing but PURE JOY for you. It will not always be easy, we will face trials, our faith will be tested, but JOY comes in the morning!Β βοΈ
